Nike Website Images.

I was looking on the Nike Football website and I found a few images, so I have took screen shots of them, to put up on here, these are something I have looked into for a brief I am currently doing, but these images are the type of images I would like to do in the future.

Some good photography mixed in with some other ideas to promote the website and events.

Show & Tell

For show & tell I had my 5 Quentin posters and 5 posters from the 27 Club and some cards that will so be with the 27 Club.

I got some positive responses.
The post it notes on my work read;

INFORMATION.

Turorial With Joe

I decided to have my tutorial with Joe Gilmore, as I had yet to speak to him at all during the few weeks,
But it was good chatting to him, was very helpful, sounded very positive about my brief options and sounded positive about my work that I had so far done. Was simply telling me to keep it up.

Issues I brought up with Joe was that I take so long to make a decision and he agreed and just gave me some pointers about what I should do,
& he also noticed that I like to mess about it designs like little tweeks and edits, and he just simply said I should be getting them done early and if I don't like them move them away and leave them, document them to show you looked into it, but from there forget about them.

The tutorial on a whole did help me alot, cleared my mind alot.

Second Crit

Second Crit, Same idea as the first on, pair up and look at other peoples work in your group.
I paired with Chris, and in our group was Leigh, Anna, Nichola & Charlotte.

The group sounded positive about my work,
They gave me some good advise on what I can do to improve, and how I should put things across cause they got confused with some of the 27 Club work, thinking it was a magazine.
Got a few good designers to look at from the group to look at for influence.

The crit on a whole was helpful, and since then I have took there advice on board and work with it on my designs,
Since then I have asked them about it whilst around the studio and they said it has been improved alot.
So I did take alot out of the crit we had & have worked on alot from that.

First Crit

First Crit,
I was in a group with Mitch, Nichola & Alex.
I paired with Mitch and the other two paired up.

We all looked at each others work commenting, saying what could be improved and why, and what we thought of it, did we like it? Didn't we? If not, why?

I was told by Phoenix and Nichola that my work at the time was good,
but could so with some vast improvement, but it was early days of the briefing.
Said they liked the idea, the brief is interesting an gave me a few tips how I could improve and why I should do it.

Lorenzo, came over during my work getting spoke about, and gave me alot of very useful tips, about colour and about testing and also needing to be quicker at making decision, saying I am spending abit to long on some things that shouldn't take half as long,
which is a true statement, I do need become alot more quicker at decision making.
Lorenzo did have a little go at me, because where the cast and produces should go at the bottom of the Movie posters I had
"Information About Cast" written dozens of times, instead of the actually information, and he said I should just stop messing about with it and get the information straight away.

Pretty Odd

I have been doing the Quentin Taratino brief, but whilst watching Kill Bill Vol.02, I came across some shots that I could possibly use for my LCA F.C,
I have took a few screenshots of the images that stuck into my head, with them being dark, but with a bright stand out in the image.

I just found it pretty odd that I would have thought of that whilst watching the movie, but it came in useful, some great shots through out the movie that gave me ideas for others briefs.

More Nike Images

First of all I had ideas of trying to make a few posters that didn't involve using photography,
& I came across these that work well without the use of photography, just coming up with some ideas would be the most important bit about the designs.

Just a few more images involving what I have spoke about in earlier blogs, having the dark space in the back ground with a bright image that stands out and having the space to work around it.

Existing Quentin Tarantino Posters.

When browsing the web looking for more influence, I came across a few designs I have seen someone put together, but unfortually don't know the name of the designer.
This is conveniant for me, cause he has done some movies I have done, so its a good source of influence and research for me.

But here are a few of his/her things;

In a none, boastful way, I feel mine could edge a few of these, into looking more appealing for an audience and work in a better way needed.

Olly Moss, Once Again

Once again its that man, influencing me through my designs,
I was browsing the internet and I found a few more of Olly Moss's designs that I haven't seen before, some that I didn't see featuring on his website, so I thought I would just throw them up on here.

This being about the first black man to win a race in the olympics, I just think the simplicity is amazing, just how simple he has made it but how the message has came across.
Something I need to keep working with, and gives me something to think about for the future.

These both being typical Olly Moss designs, taking main points out of the movie and making them work perfectly. Easy, Simple & Effective.

Kill Bill Vol. 02, Movie Screenshots

I thought it could be a useful idea to watch all the movies again and refresh my mind about what happens, and the chance to pick out some main parts, parts that stand out, parts that I could work with for the posters, and help out with the designs for the tickets and magazine.
