After doing a load of layout and a designing, and messing about on Illustrator,

I have came up with 4 different ranges of books, all under the 7 Deadly Sins.

For the selection of books, I wanted to keep it simple, using symbols and logos and cold flat colours.

Here are the first set;

Chosen Symbols

I messed about with alot of layout for the symbols,

I feel my strongest part of design is slowly becoming logos and symbols, especially through this brief.

I designed a symbol for each sin.

Symbols;

Sloth_Lazy and not taking part, Thumb Down to represent no.

Pride_Being happy with something you have done, smiling face.

Lust_Being in love with someone or something, heart with male and female symbols.

Anger_Someone being angry, Foul language in a speech bubble.

Greed_Someone want anything and everything, biting the coin.

Gluttony_Greed and excess eating, hens the finished bone on a empty plate.

Envy_Jealousy, Green eyed monster.

Symbols Layouts

When it came to designing the symbols I had to design 7, one for each of the Seven Sins,

I had to try and get the symbol perfect as this could be going on the front of the book,

so it is important to get the symbol perfect, so a reader/viewer can see what the image is symbolising and what sin it is symbolising.

I worked alot on the symbols and done alot of trying and testing,

I wanted to keep them simple but appealing for the for the viewer to appreciate.

Colours

When I decided to use the 7 Deadly Sins as the range of books I want to put together and design,

I realised my biggest decision would be picking what colours represent what sin.

I messed about with some colours,

But then when researching on the internet I found a site, saying what colours represent what sin.

Colours & Sins;

I feel the colour I found on the websites could work well and could be the right choice.

But will still have to mess about with them.
